Colorado School of Mines offers many types of financial aid all of which include scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment opportunities. To get more specific information please click on the corresponding links below.


Grants are gift aid and do not have to be repaid. Grants are available for both residents and out-of-state students from federal, state and Mines grant funds. Grants are considered “need-based” financial aid. They are based on your need as determined by the federal government through the FAFSA and the Financial Aid Office.

Working on campus is a great way to earn money and get valuable work experience while building your network on campus. Students often learn about the many support services, student activities and events through their work.
