Budget Review Request

Students that apply for financial aid are assigned a Cost of Attendance (COA) budget.  Your COA (or budget) is based on standard educational expenses based on your degree and residency status.  These costs are used to determine your eligibility for financial aid.  You can view your COA in Trailhead with your financial aid awards.  You may also view our general 9-month fall/spring COA here:

Undergraduate Cost of Attendance

Graduate Cost of Attendance

If you will incur additional educational expenses and/or if your COA allowances do not reflect your actual cost of living expenses, you may request a budget review using the form below.

Increasing your COA (or budget) will not result in additional grants or scholarships, however you may qualify for additional loan eligibility (PLUS or Private Education Loan). If we can increase your COA (or budget) and you are seeking additional funding, you must complete the appropriate loan application once the review is complete.

Budget Review Requests will not be processed for 529/College Plan/tax purposes. Most plans require the original Cost of Attendance found at the links above.

Please contact the Office of Financial Aid with questions about allowable expenses, unique circumstances, or questions about this process.
